Dance Photography
Dance photography is an art of bringing out dancers’ characteristic style. Dance photographers capture the key moment of a figure or a jump, composing bodies in light and shade. They require exceptional skill to play with bodies and light.
Dance photography is extremely tricky and very rewarding. Dance photographer has to capture the dance, the essence of the dance, the lighting and everything, and yet it's very hard to do so. Normally much of the professional dance is done with set-ups and lighting especially for the photography.
To get more sharpness in dance photography, be prepared to anticipate lifts/leaps, etc. There's a tiny moment at the top of every good lift or leap when the dancer is almost motionless and you can often get that sharp. It is necessary to use a tripod for capturing best steps from different angles.
